THOUGHTS ON WRITING

I have been working on Noah: An Old Fool, which is to be the third part of The Suffolk Trilogy, but at the same time I have started a new book, Mary’s Story.  The work on Noah is done now, but it is difficult to move from one story to the other.  It’s as if I have to leave people behind and move to another place, and then come back and settle down again.  Anyway, next week I hope to spend a day in one of those houses overlooking the sea on the dune at Thorpeness.   Just me and the sea.
